At the 3rd and 4th of November, the FreeDict project organizes the “FreeDict HackFest”, a social-technical community event for users and developers. In case you don’t know FreeDict yet, we’re a group of passionate linguists and computer scientists, as well as language freaks in general and we are using, extending, improving or generating dictionaries.

In 2017, we had talks and workshops, we brought our dictionaries to Android mobile phones and started to work on our new web site. We want to build on this success and therefore count on you. This is the ideal chance for you to get in touch with our technology for the first time, extend your existing knowledge or to demonstrate your excellent coding skills.

This is a two-day event, giving you enough time to socialize with people, explore Dresden (which is a wonderful, historic city) and to go for a stroll through Dresden’s nightlife district (Neustadt). A key signing party is possible, too.
